Merton House for Shoreham Accommodation

Shoreham Airport is about 4.5 miles and Shoreham centre about 5.5 miles from our  B  & B guest house travelling from our accommodation to either location will take 12 - 20 minutes by car using either the A27 or A257 (Brighton Road). We are located close to Worthing station and so this is also an easy option for visiting Shoreham.

All our rooms have en-suite facilities with access to free wi-fi. There is off street parking available and further un restricted parking on the adjacent Georgia Avenue. We have a small guest lounge and a rear garden where you can relax or meet and chat with other guests.

There are ground floor double and a twin bedded rooms which may may be suitable for those with limited mobility, but are not wheelchair accessible, please call to check availability and suitability (01903 236028).

All our rooms have; freeview televisions, easy chairs or a sofa, hot drink making facilities, access to free wi-fi, hairdryer, towels and bathroom toiletries.

Directions to Shoreham

Via the A275 - Brighton Road. Distance to Shoreham airport 4.5 miles and to Shoreham centre 5.4 miles. Journey time by car 12 - 20 minutes
Leaving our bed and breakfast head south down Broadwater Road, cross the railway bridge, Morrisons is on your left, go straight over the 1st 2 roundabouts and then bear left, takeing the 1st exit, at the next one. With Lidl on your right take the 1st exit at the next roundabout, Lyndhurst Road, and continue just pass the entrance of Worthing Hospital. Turn right up Farncombe Road. At the end of the road turn left, onto the A259 Brighton Road. Keep on this road for about 3.5 miles, passing Brooklands Go Karts and Pleasure Park, Lancing Beach Green (on right). At the large roundabout  the 1st turning is for Shoreham (Brighton City) Airport. You can also take this exit to get to Lancing College and the A27 (with restrictions).The 2nd exit will take you over the Norfolk Bridge crossing the River Adur , with the Ropetackle Arts Centre on your left, turn right (2nd exit) at the roundabout for Shoreham centre, Shoreham Marina, Southwick and Brighton.

Directions from Shoreham

Via the A275 Brighton Road. Distance 4.5 - 5.5 miles, journey time by car 12 - 20 minutes
Driving through Shoreham from Brighton, Southwick, Shoreham Marina or Shoreham centre itself take the 1st exit at the roundabout over the River Adur. In a few hundred yards at the roundabout continue along the A275.  Note that you may join this roundabout if your are coming from Shoreham Airport or Shoreham Beach. Follow the A275 for about 3 miles passing Lancing Beach Green and Brooklands Go Karts. After passing the Go Karts and petrol station , take the 2nd right, Broughham Road. Follow this road for about 0.5 mile and then turn right at the traffic lights onto Ham Road. In a few hiundred yards at the roundabout take the 1st exit and continue along Ham Road over the railway bridge. At the traffic lights bear left onto Dominion Road. Continue on Dominion Road, through the pedestrian crossing and take the 4th road on the left, Sheridan Road. Continue to the end of this road, turn left onto Beaumont Road and then immediately right into Georgia Avenue. At the end of the road turn left onto Broadwater road and our entrance is then 25 yards on the left.

Rail and bus links to Shoreham

Our guest house is just a 10 minute walk from the station or a short taxi ride. Trains to and from Shoreham are frequent, up to 6 per hour during the day. Shoreham station is to the eastern end of the town, about 1/4 mile from the centre. If you are travelling to / from the Shoreham Airport or Ricardos then it will be about a mile.
There are a number of buses that pass our bed and breakfast guest house and then go to the seafront from where a connection can be made for the Brighton, Coastliner 700, which are very frequent during the day. For the airport leave the bus around the Norfolk bridge and then it is a short wal to  Shoreham, Brighton City, Airport and about 0.75 mile to Ricardos.
